2013. Soft texture, tart red berry, dried leaves. Pleasure-driven wine. Earthy, lightly vegetal, rustic finish.

My first Régnié. Four Horsemen has the same producer but a Morgon 2012 on its list. Chambers St Wine said this bottle/bio producer Roland Pignard is a great expression of the Régnié terrior. At first tight but opened up over the hour to black cherries, red currants and pepper. Soft but high on acid, with some backbone.

Lush and just enough grip, but I prefer the Morgon from this winemaker.
