Rochioli
Russian River Valley Chardonnay

July 4th Friday was a total blowout! Killer bottles one after another. Here are just a few of the bottles we all enjoyed!
Drinking at its peak. Soft butterscotch notes but not very candied/sweet. Lemon oil, honeysuckle, and honey roasted cashews. Very rich and textured on the palate. Really nice.

Nutty, citrusy, rich. Keeps a nice freshness without feeling too heavy.

Fairly small production, big mystique with the "waiting list" and selling out. (Find it at Beltramo's.) Nose a little butter, maybe pear/flower. Taste intense but dry, rich, oaky, with a buttery/vanilla finish. Definitely refined, but perhaps too buttery on this own. But S&M loved it. Interestingly, she thought it less buttery than the burgundy, while I thought it more.
