Jul 24th, 2017Beautiful wine. Such grace, these wines aren't made this way anymore. Opens up with traditional oxidative qualities that give way to dried leaves and flowers, black dried cherries, walnuts, pecans, and other nuts. Still has tannin present, and plenty of acid to back it up. As the night went on, more notes of dried herbs and spices emerged.

NYE birth year wine courtesy of my friend Mark. California was one of the few places where this was a good vintage. Great example of the amazing wines being made in Napa in the 70s.

Shockingly alive. Good old cab nose. Lead and lean structure. No fruit left. Past prime as per RC and '74 Krug? HH and ET visit.

Mar 2nd, 20161975 vintage - The cork had leaked a bit at some point and was tough to get out in one piece. Oxidized in color, with a little Brett and musty cellar on the nose. With nice acidity and a balanced palate, the taste was better than aroma or appearance. Would love to try a bottle in better condition... This one was still pretty impressive
