The bouquet alone was worth the price of entry. The lifted and floral nose revealed crushed cherry, exotic spice, sweet herbs and roses, before taking on ginger, tobacco and dusty soil tones--all the while remaining feminine and remarkable pretty. On the palate, tart cherry with hints of cedar, herbs and orange zest soothe the senses while fine tannin provided grip to its light-bodied frame. It finished on tart fruit, spice and tannin. The 2008 Paje needs time for the palate to flesh out and catch up to its aromatics, but once it does...I can only imaging.

Traditional Barbaresco at its best. Perfectly integrated tannin, terrific balance. Wide ranging aromas; reddish fruit, floral, earthy, licorice... Medium to full bodied with the plate echoing the nose. Extreme length.

Lots of red cherry fruit, plum, leather, tar, sweet spices, & rose petal. I would give this an hr in the decanter as it is still on the young side.

Broke down and grabbed this out of the cellar despite its youth. Hard to find much better classic Barbaresco anywhere. So good with pork osso bucco!

Fantastic. Super floral nose. Cherries and leather in the palate. Super balance, but needs a long decant and good for the tannins to settle down for it to really show its stuff. Immensely satisfying with a bowl of truffled gnocchi.

Started off very quiet, eventually showed lots of depth.

Wonderful nose but, ultimately, this wine never came alive. After over an hour in the decanter, and endless swirling, this wine never found its legs. Thin, anemic. An unfulfilled promise. And unacceptable at $90.
