Last bottle of the ‘16 and just as good as the other 3. The richness of the fruit has subsided just a bit in the last year and that has left everything in perfect balance. There is an upfront oak signature that is supported by perfectly ripe fruit and bracing acidity. An awesome chardonnay year after year.

Annnnnnmd they’re gone. That’s the problem when your house chard is such a limited production. This bottle took several hours to open compared to the others. Early on it was heavy on oak and acid, but eventually came around and was just as good as always. Let these air or give them a couple years.

First of the '15. Even more structure than other recent vintages. The same beautiful fruit, but now with amped up acidity. These were always balanced, but this '15 takes it to another level. These will hold for several years.

Last of the '14s while the '15s continue to rest. Always love the Sonoma Coast fruit and this chard is packed with it, but it feels like the bouquet will continue to expand with a little more time in bottle. It's still nervous with acidity and the oak influence, while not overdone, could still integrate a bit further. I wish I had another one to hold for improvement, but I'll have to let the single vineyard versions be the ones to rest while I move on to the next vintage.

These are very different between vintages but always great. The '14 is a bit higher in acidity and more on the honeysuckle and pear notes. Realistically needs a few years to come together, but too delicious to wait.

2012 vintage. A favorite in our house. Great chard and gets better on day 2.
