Verdicchio di Matelica

Verdicchio is always great with fish. Had cod with a lemon/ wine/ butter sauce and this was good. Not the most memorable or expressive verdicchio I’ve had, but nice. Minerally, good acidity and subdued fruit. I find the ones from Metalica have less of that signature almond taste than those of Jesi.

Went really well with salad with salmon and fish sauce dressing.
