Aged beautifully for 15.8% and not even hot! Ridge only bottles this block of their Paso Robles when fully ripe and it can muster its full concentration and acidity like this super fun wine. I haven't had aged Chateauneuf de Pape but I imagine there's some similarly because this is anything but stewy and hot. A little funk blows off and reveals layers of deep fruit full bodied but balanced hedonism.
