We absolutely love this and is drinking beautifully now. Dark fruits, licorice, asian spices, garrigue, velvety tannins enveloped in a medium bodied wine that is body and elegance. We think its the best wine of Rhys and they do some outstanding pinot noir there :)

A truly excellent wine that Rhys does not do anymore. Like a great Hermitage.

Rhys makes some of the most incredible Syrah these days. This Skyline is the the one before the last vintage. Hard to understand the house choosing to stop this. Dark purple color, discrete nose of dark fruits, noble tanins on a powerful wine that also has balance in spades. The Chave clones have to be for something on this. Top notch wine, great to drink now, probably superb in 5 more years. Enthusiastically recommended and hats off !!!!

Dark and opaque ruby. Initially fairly reticent on the nose, but opened after some air to dark fruits aromas, with some animal character. Dense and supple on the palate, but still with grace and elegance brought by a great acidity. Lasts for a while on the finish. Quite delicious and not typical for a New World wine.

Just a beautiful syrah. Should have decanted, but very nice fruit with black olives, and game. Great salinity on the palate, where this shows black fruit and a hint of blue. Nice tannin on the finish. Maybe the syrah of the evening.
