*Texas* Mourvedre? Wow! My roots are Texan but I had no idea there was wine grown there. At first, I thought it was a single-vineyard wine from a block named "Texas" 😹
Any road, this smooth, fruit-forward wine is medium bodied and nicely balanced, with bright cherry and currant fruits. We consumed this as a cocktail wine and were pleasantly surprised at how fast the decanter emptied.
This is a perfect wine for entertaining - easy to drink but not so baroque that non-oenophiles will be driven away. As they might say back in Dallas, this wine is sweeter than stolen honey and if it tasted any better, I’d drop my harp plumb through the cloud.
