Blackberry bramble with a woody earthiness and hints of sweet tobacco. The fruit shines through on the pallate and altogether off-dry it has a slight sweetness which compliments the flavor. Paired with a lovely spring bonfire! ($8.5) [5/6/17]

Drinks reception wines are usually suspect. This was a pleasant surprise. Velvety texture, black fruits, decent finish. A little hollow and one dimensional but, judging from the helpful reviews here, it's a $10 wine from CostCo. Very good value.

40% alfrocheiro
40% tinta-roriz
20% touriga nacional

Funky, musky nose that settles down into some nice floral red fruits, if not entirely dirt-trodden. Palate is smooth, bright and juicy. The acid keeps you coming back but the earth on the nose may keep you away.

Pleasant surprise- great value, very dark & inky with tons of blue & black fruit (blackberry) and distinct tobacco notes. Solid structure but not a huge wine, just infinitely drinkable - only the modest finish is stopping this from being truly great

As I just got my official finisher postcard from the Army ten miler I ran a few weeks ago, I feel the need for some touriga! Touriga this, tinta that...

Blackberry covered chocolate is what this smells like.
Sugarless Pom, cran juice blend, with the mild stave and acidity whittling in. A perfect Tuesday nighter..
