Popped and poured. The 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo by Produttori del Barbaresco appears a brilliant ruby color with a transparent core and no signs of particles or gas. The viscosity is medium+ with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is a moderate intensity. There is dusty cherry fruit, red flowers, tar, and dried green herbs…a touch hot today. On the palate, the wine is bone dry. Tannins are medium+, acid is medium+…body is medium. Confirming the notes from the nose. Finish is medium and there is a fun sensory experience similar to that of a buzz button; super interesting. Anyway, this was crushable tonight with some Arab-style spiced lamb and rice. Drink now but don’t feel rushed.

Staying on the Nebbiolo trail
Vibrant, energetic, fresh & juicy. Full of sweet cherry & raspberry, with a flower whiff and a stony-tarry undertone. So enticing!
Medium bodied, with juicy cherry acidity and amazing tannins - silky, finely grained, offering ajuicy, yet firm bite. Perfectly ripe.
Nice depth & purity and great cherry & cherry flower note.
This an ode to youth! Keep your Barbaresco Riserva’s till they aged with truffle & balsamico while you devour the young, crunchy, joyful „simple” Nebbiolos.
Yum!

Too Young but most likely would rate a higher score in a few years

First time having the 2021 and I like it. For < $20 a bottle from wine library in NJ, a truly exceptional value. Quite typically Nebbiolo on the nose and palate. Don’t find the tannins overbearing at all - good length and acid and balance on the finish. One of the better value wines I’ve had in a long while.
