A delightful balance of the austere and the voluptuous with lovely stone fruits tempered by a tart astringency. Smooth, but, ultimately, not so smooth that it lacks character. In general, Brunellos are my second favorite Italian wines after Barbarescos. This is a lovely iteration of Sangiovese and a pleasure to drink

Dec 18th, 2017Drinking nicely. Dark, concentrated red fruits, light tannins, a slight sweetness. Even better on day 2! Fruits mellowed a little bit and developed earthy and leathery notes.

Earthy and creamy nose, full of vanilla and dirt. Palate is fruit forward, thin bodied but somewhat smoke noted. #sangiovese
