Wonderfully developed with lots of dried fruits and herbs. At its peak now.

Regrettably a foul smelling wine and a challenge to drink as well.

Near perfect in composition. Hints of ripe berries and full body.

This 2001 brunello still has a fair amount of fruit and acidity. Dark fruit and elegant finish. It went extremely well with veal parmigiana and pork chop at Carbone. The restaurant decanted and it can definitely age longer in the bottle. Only 1400 cases made.
