Medium /light ruby with medium pink rim . Quite rich and exuberant , with sweet strawberry , rose , raspberry jam , with just a touch of spice and smoke . On the palate again quite sweet red fruits , raspberry , red cherry quite juicy but with just enough freshness to balance with ok length . Ripe but slightly grippy tannins, alcohol does poke out a bit , this does appear to be pretty marked by the vintage . In a blind tasting I would probably not put this in Burgundy at present . Needs time really, might become more representative with bottle age . Better in 3-4 years and last a further 5-8 .
