St. Joseph Syrah

Alas, the window closed on this gem before I could experience her potentional. The cork, inky dark and the black fruits sliding up the decanter foreshadowed something delightful, but she was dead in the glass with nary a tale to tell. 😢

Oil-black color! Holy smoky pepper! Grill-charred meat with rosemary! Leather and tobacco. Like a biker BBQ; smell the burnt dirt. Baked, soft, red, cinnamon apples emerge from beneath leather blankets to flash their round fruits to loud exultation! Pepper inculcates the palate, along with underripe dark plums and tobacco, smoke and a generous stripe of fruit tannin. This lil sonofabitch is a tough customer, blazing a trail through your Podunk town, Laing with your lady, and leaving skid marks all over your palate.

Got that graphite pencil lead you look for with a dark tart plum and bush berry, lil fruit leather, it's lovely

Earthy with blackberries and coffee taste. Not too heavy yet good burst which mellows in the aftertaste.
