Pale to mid yellow in colour. The wine was a little cold to begin with. Aromas of talc and lime marmalade, dried flowers - a faint paraffin note - No Kerosene or petrol (TDN). A beautiful aged Riesling from the Clare Valley from Petaluma - a long time favourite producer of Riesling. With air and warming up, some yellow peach notes developing. I see HH said this benefits from decanting which I didn’t do. Drinking at its peak. Sadly my last 2012.

A trace of cumquat together with dried white flowers, talc some toast together with citrus. A superb 10 year old Clare Valley Riesling from a quality producer in a good vintage. No TDN Kerosene notes.

When you have a class Clare Valley Riesling there’s an argument for saying that you should have the first one at 10 years of age. This was a mid lemon in colour - lovely aromatics with white florals and petrol starting to dominate. Still up to 5 years in front of it I think. Lime and grapefruit on the palate with M minus acid.

Classic for the style. One of the many Aussie wines we should have greater access to and care more about in the states.

Pretty good for a Riesling, if you're into that.

Not your typical Riesling. Interesting but not for me.
