Gorgeous bottle of 1964 Gevrey Chambertin Lavaux St-Jacques from Paul Thevenin yesterday!Cherries and raspberries poured generously over that core of sweet-savoury, light peppered pork loin that I always associate with Gevrey. Long with great acidity and a persistent but understated umami character on the palate. A bit of a surprise, as this is the first time I (and Delectable) have come across this producer - has anyone else?
