My definition of a good wine is one that develops with every pour. This is one of those wines.

White pepper for days! I thought this bottle was off, and maybe it's weird, but I'm interested to track it. Day 2- this wine makes a lot more sense. Needed to blow off some steam!

This is an interesting story. Opened on Thursday and thought "this is fucked." Smelled like cardboard but wasn't a TCA thing. Decided to keep it open and see if it improved. Much better/cleaner next day but didn't have chance to drink so vacuvin'd it up and left in fridge for 2 more days. Now after opening, about an hour, it's really expressive and fairly complex. No idea how many minutes this will last, but a fascinating trajectory for sure! 9/25/16

Gotta say this is drinking quite well. Why is it that this 2011 is showing so well and his 2010's are all over the hill. Anyway, a terrific example for vintage and vineyard!

Ok this wine was concerning out of the gate. Where was the acid? The verve? After an hour or more it started to show some life. Interesting how the Piuze bottles just aren't feeling expressive and exciting anymore.

Advanced color but tart and fresh on the nose. Benefitted from time in the decanter. Tried side by side with Samuel Billaud.

Not very experienced with the youth, but this seems to distinguish itself. Length of finish, complexity of iodine sample, etc

I'd never had a Piuze wine that I really liked, but on the second night this was coming around. Dense and oaky in a pleasant way, deep golden color.
