Ontañon located outside of Logroño, sources fruit from their own vineyards in Rioja Baja. High elevation, isolated vineyards, gently sloping on poor, stony soils, wines showing richness of fruit. Had this at a tapas bar, juicy sweet red fruit aromas with subtle spice. On the palate cherry and blackberry with notes of cacao. Nicely balanced with fine tannins on medium finish ending with an earthy mineral character.
