Bechthold Vineyard Cinsault

Nice to have a really nice wine like this on hand when the other selection doesn’t work out. Happy to have more in the cellar.

Just the right touch for dinner with roasted pork loin, mashed potatoes, and butternut squash.

This was a Casemates lab rat bottle. It’s not an east-to-find varietal, but worth the hunt if you find one this nice. Right on opening, I got an aroma of raspberries, and a little bit of funkiness like I usually associate with Pinot Noir. It was a nice, smooth drinking wine that was terrific with a really eclectic meal of grilled pork chops and a variety of veggies.
