Back in the early 90s Moss Wood used to make this standard Cab and also a Reserve which spent an extra year in French barriques. This was the standard and was magnificent. Nose of cedar, black currant and herbs. Brilliant mature Cabernet. Could have easily been a high ranked left bank classed growth. This is why one cellars wine.

Happy #FathersDay from my wine glass to yours!

My Dad & Mum has been visiting for the last week and seeing as last night was their last night with us we thought we’d crack into a very special bottle on the eve of Father’s Day.

@mosswood Cab’s from #MargaretRiver are known to go the distance and this Special Reserve (aka only made in the very best years) 1991 was the perfect example of how delicious they can become!

As we sipped on it from @riedelaustralianz Cabernet specific glasses words like; deep burnt toffee in colour, cherries, tobacco, new leather, sweet cedar, full bodied, earthy, rich, blackcurrants and meal in a glass were being said. What a way to spend a Saturday night!
