Heck of a 3rd Friday to kick off the holidays!

Incredible nose. Potpourri, milk chocolate, almost like a coconut/American oak like nose but it reigns it in just before it becomes full blown. Blueberry and toasted blackberries on the palate...a sweetened charcoal/liqueur finish. So silky. Wonderful bottle from

Man the hype on this thing. I have to say I just wasn't getting it. Some said it needed more air, but for me it was just way too bombastic in style. I can find the overripe and over oaked style pretty much anywhere in california and can find it as well done as it can be for 1/5th of the price?

Fantastic wine. 75/25 CS and CF. Great floral and fruit nose. Deep dark ruby. Great dense luscious mouthfeel. Silky tannins, ripe dark fruit, perfectly balanced with oak, dark chocolate, tobacco. Drinking great now. Nice finish. Great wine!

Nose of blue and black fruit, flowers. Black in color. 1.5 hour decant. Big ripe black fruit, loads of blackberries and creme de cassis. Sweet oak, vanilla, hints of tobacco. Acidity very mild and tannins smooth and easy but still enough to notice. Has that typical dense and creamy To Kalon fruit. 30s+ finish. Fantastic wine.

Was expecting a bit more from this 2013 as the 2012 was amazing and 2014 very solid too. It never really got to open up and kept some green notes throughout. A good bottle nonetheless with dark red fruit, some hints of cloves and tobacco. Time in the glass also brought out some mocha notes too. All together it came off a bit lean in comparison to other vintages, but this could be bottle specific.

Second favorite wine of the night. 2013 opened a little tight even after an hour decant but blossomed over time. Balance and layer upon layer of fruit with a long elegant finish.
