Had this at Kin in Boise last year with scallops and loved it so much we went and bought a bottle. Recreated that dinner last night and it did not disappoint Trebbiano, Malvasia and Verdicchio from the nuns in Umbria. Medium acid, full body. Imported by Rosenthal

This is a natural wine I love. An OG natural wine from a very talented winemaker. A baby orange with the right amount of skin contact which complements the finished wine and doesn’t become the focus. I wouldn’t call this an orange wine. It’s a white wine enhanced with slight oxidation. Flavors of lemon custard and fermented apple cider. Splendid.

This white wine always intrigues me. From the Lazio region of Italy made by Trappist nuns. Trebbiano, Malvasia ahd Verdicchio grapes. Very chalky, minerals, crisp apple, orange rind, oily. Very off-the-beaten-path style wine but great cold on a hot summer day.

Cloudy and light straw in color. Pronounced salinity. Food friendly. Terrific wine.
