believe this is Caprettone, grape i never heard of but this is a delightful wine from a DOC where i usually enjoy the red blends. this was a dull straw/greenish flecked color with an unusual nose of honeycomb, savory biscuit, herbaceous, minerals, funk, along with tart notes of some orchard fruit. we had with seafood pasta - working remarkably well. little age on this offered add'l intrigue & complexity, luxurious mouthfeel, lithe weight, balanced acidity.

Opens with funky almost cheese rind like aromas. Has that quintessential Italian BO. I don't pick up any identifiable fruit. Closest flower would be babie's breath.
Good texture. Medium acids, some bitterness with a dry honey like sweetness in the finish.
This one is certainly unique! And a great wine to have in the arsenal for pairing with the more intense flavored seafoods.
