This has an amazing nose that is a strange mix of rather sharp furniture polish and the taste that you get when mixing up a couple of different flavour opal fruits (star bursts to you youts) incredibly pronounced, sharp tropical fruits (and nail polish), skittles and strawberry concentrate.
Palate is less expressive but has some wonderful green apple skin, quince, good length, very lovely stuff.

Stellar. These wines astound me with their complexity and depth.

Oct 6th, 2016I just had this with some Strozzapreti with freshly foraged morels and in season peas...and the whole thing just sang. 'sous viele' Chard at its finest. Engaging, distinctive, and downright delicious. All I'm gonna say is : FAUQUETTE!

Customer sent this back because of too much V.A. So fauqette- we decanted it for staff drinks. Razor sharp acidity, controlled oxidation, something floral in there. It's amazing.

Jan 9th, 2015Wow. Super freaky. Dark gold, funky and spicy on the nose. Jura always throws me for a trip. Starts savory with strong fermented notes that alternate between toffee and petrol (think 5 year aged gouda). Acidity crescendos by mid, and may tip the scales. Yummy spice and oxidation settle down for a long finish. Overall could use a little less acidity, and a little more layering (it doesn't have the bacony quality some jura chards have). Still a stellar funky white. Wow.

Beeswax, ripe banana, slightly oxidized, great acid and a longish, interesting finish. A very interesting and delicious wine.
