I’m not sure why the app calls this Zinfandel a Syrah, but whatever. The nose is ripe red fruit, raspberry, dark cherry, and strawberry jam. More red fruit on the palate with a nice blend of oak, black tea, and cola. High acid, tannins, and alcohol, but, hey, it blends. Young and tart after six years, but not overpowering, this wine could make me a zin fan, maybe, someday.
