Cellar temp really lets this shine. Acacia, stone fruits. Very old school Napa Chardonnay: 12.2% abv, no new oak, no heat. Balanced and refined, but not emaciated in the way that some dialed-back CA wines can be. First rate.

Very similar but previous note as it has massive apples but a much better texture as it costs the palate. Light gold color. Apples and camomile on the nose. Apple explosion on the palate. Lively wine. Medium plus depth.

This got much better after 20-30 minutes open. The apples moderated. Revising score from 89 to 91.

Massive apples!! Not my style. Crisp and lively, but too fruit forward for me.

Matthiasson Zoom Wine Tasting!!

Medium gold color. Meyer lemon and hints of flowers on the nose. Similar on the palate with nice acidity. Medium depth and finish.

Fun night and learned a lot!!

Always lovely. Super thick, deep wine. Meyer lemon with subtle butter and melon tones. Really coats the palate. Long finish.

Dark gold color. Thick with buttery flavor as well as lemon curd and oak. Age served this well. Drink sooner rather than later.

A producer I’ve always wanted to try. And this is certainly atypical. I mean where can you find a chard with 12.2% abv nowadays.

Expressive nose of peach, lemony citrus, subtle pineapple, and hint of elderflower. The palate is surprisingly round and textured, balanced by fresh medium acidity. Almost oily but remains nimble. The finish is crisp and lightly saline.
