I had never heard of Elbling before, and I was surprised by how good it is. This Elbling from Mosel is a very enjoyable wine and unlike anything I have had before. The finish is just like Riesling, and has a crisp acidity. But the first impression is nothing like Riesling. Instead, there are mild flavors of elderflower, lichee, and white melon. A great value under $20.
