This was extremely enjoyable, yes. However it lacked any real freshness until we came down to the palate which remained tightly wound. The nose showed some iodine, raw meat, anise, leather and stewed cherry character. Palate was not too expansive and remained quite red fruited however. Acid for days, no doubt about that but not quite as giving or youthful as one would imagine for a baby
