Another great showing, dark cherry and black tea. Nose was on fire with loamy earth and wood notes. Still another 2-3 years in the cellar to peak.

This was just released and it is showing a lot of oak. Hopefully it integrates with time

Last time I had this one was February 2017, and knowing what I know now, I murdered BOTH bottles. This one poured a dirty maroon into the glass, with nose of mint and dirty raspberry. Hint of baking spice and cumin on the nose. The entry is raspberry with great acidity. Much more even keel with cheese and crackers than even the chicken dish it was first served with. The middle has a terroir driven note, hint of cola and herb, with still very nice acidity to the finish. This wine has had a bit of heat blow off over the last 16 months, but my interpretation of this wine is that it will really be a powerhouse in 2022 and beyond.

Powerful nose, likely to dial back with time, leads an exceptional, concentrated but elegantly layered wine. Dark, brooding cherry and fleshy earth tones. Restrained power. Excellent, cellar-worthy.

Nice little pinot but man these 2014 Martinelli Pinots could all use about 4-5 years of bottle aging! 1 of 4 brought with us on a little weekend getaway, and was a great accoutrement. Nice acidity, great raspberry grit and had an herbal nose and finish. Really pleased, and even more pleased that the rest are in the lockup where they belong for a few years.
