This was good, but the 2005 was even better.

This fella' probably needs some more time in the cellar. Still unbalanced and the acid is all over the place. Wait a couple of years before going back to this one.

Maybe it's because I'm drinking this sitting in their vineyard at the crazy hotel they got Frank Gehry liquored up to agree to build...or maybe all the other ratings are unfair. Either way, this is much better than the other raters would lead you to believe. I think. Lots of ripe red fruit and cherries a little dust and rocks. Its super volatile (like all their wines) and turns into a caramelized fruit then burning leaves and back to cherries as you swirl it in the glass. It's not expensive! Drink the damned thing.
