Tasted ‘05 again. 100% Sangiovese, aged in oak for 2 years, Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe black & red fruits with sweet spice. On the palate, this full-bodied wine had medium acidity, very smooth tannins showing ripe fruit flavors of cherry and raspberry with cacao, cedar spice complex yet not overpowering as flavors emerge to a long pleasant finish ending with mineral and earthy notes. This is Top Flight! Wow! Aged well!

Opened my last ‘05. 100% Sangiovese, which was aged in oak for 2 years, Clear deep brilliant ruby red color with aromas of ripe dark & red fruits with sweet spice. The palate, a full-bodied dry wine, medium acidity, very smooth tannins and a slight warmth of alcohol present. The ripe fruit flavors are complex yet not overpowering as a number of flavors emerge to a lingering pleasant finish ending with mineral and earthy notes. This is Top Flight! Wish I had a few more bottles. I was rewarded for the wait!

Tasting much better than 2 yrs ago. Mellowing into a nice Brunello. Oak is still present and probably a bit overdone but very enjoyable wine now.

Took quite a long time to open up, but by the last glass this Brunello was classic. Dried black cherries, sage, and leather. Tannins are just firm enough to let you know this wine has another 5 to 10 years left.

Wonderful. Could have gone another 5 + years in the bottle. Great length.

Let it breathe for a while before drinking. Maybe it was the batch maybe it went bad but it wasn't good until after dinner. Like polish remover. But came together by the end of the night.
