Light yellow in color with a golden hue.
Beautiful nose of flowers, honey suckle, lemons, citrus, pears, grapefruits and white pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with citrus, green apples, grapefruits, minerals, limes, tropical fruits, pineapples, light vegetables and spices.
Nice length on the finish with almonds and limes.
This South African Chenin Blanc is refreshing and balanced with mild complexity. A little bitter with nice acidity.
A good summer wine, and good all by itself or with food.
I've had it over six months ago, and it's better now, especially on the nose.
12.5% alcohol by volume.

Dry on the palate with lemons, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, bitter almonds, spices and black pepper.
Medium finish with a bitter ending.
A nice Chenin Blanc from South Africa. Refreshing when chilled, with a bitter aftertaste. As it warms up, it becomes creamy and bold. Nice nose, simple on the palate and nicely balanced. A Good food wine.
I paired it with cheeses and a Charcuterie board.

Clear pale white in color. Floral, stone fruit and a hint of sulfite in nose. Floral, peach and lemon notes in mouth, with low to medium grain skin tannin astringency. A good basic white, affordable, good value

Jun 16th, 2017Pale yellow in color. Honeydew melon note in nose, slightly viscous mouthfeel, crisp followed by cantaloupe and lemon notes in mouth. Slight seed bitterness and skin astringency in finish. Different flavor profile from 2015 but good food wine and aperitif as well. Love that Steen, great value

May 27th, 2018A little more acidic than I like, because I like my Chenin Blanc fruity and sweet... It has more of a lime taste versus peach. But still excellent!

Mar 28th, 2018A very tasty Steen. Dry, with loads of citrus and green apple, floral, herbal and mineral notes. For $10, I think one would find this to be an exceptional value. Drink it with Mussels steamed with a bit of the wine, garlic, a touch of olive oil and a bit of parsley and yowsa!
