I think this was a little past it's prime. Jammy fruit and some alcohol heat, nothing all that interesting going on but it was adequate.

A delight--nose is almost new world-like in rich intensity, but the pepper, bramble, and bits of stinky earth start to come through revealing its glorious Rhone-ness. Grippy and smooth, impressive.

More bacon in this than on our local grocery cooler. A little more caramel on the back that I could do without, but the wine is simply great for $19.99 at #costco This is undeniably Syrah, and that is as evident as it should be. I'll buy more.

one of the better C-H offerings I've had at this price.

Nicely made. This is made at the Graillot winery through the cooperation of Jaboulet and the Perrin family. The Vin de France Syrah is über complex for the value.

Red fruit, slightly green and floral with some caramel on nose at first. Nice iron, meaty and stemmy notes as it opens. Getting better by the second.

One of my favorite French wines! Bought this wine 2 years ago. The wait was worth it. Definitely taste better as it ages. Nice subtle pepper notes on the nose. Big fruit berry taste that nicely settles out on the tastebuds!

Needs a decant. Bright red fruit, dark spice, light on it's feet.

Maybe it's because I hadn't had syrah in a while, but the acidity and earthiness over fruit was a bit shocking at first-- like a bit of oj after toothpaste. Overall though, great flavor-- I'm thinking posthumously right now...

Delicious! Smoke, berries, heavy on the nose but medium to drink, and a long finish.
