Clear dark purple in the glass. Intense nose of herbs and purple fruit. Medium full bodied palate leads with dark purple fruit, yielding to menthol, currant, and a hint of herby anise. Medium plus(!) tannins and medium acidity make this a wine as comfortable with a sit-down dinner as with medium cheeses or cookout fare. Some serious hooch in this bottle, and at seven bucks it’s a stellar QPR. If this is what happens when the Old World takes aim at the young New World market, I’m all for it! Again: seven bucks!

Aerated this vigorously and it was good right out of the bottle. Had weeks before and it had to sit overnight before it smoothed out. Had with a spicy lasagna. As an aside, they have the heaviest, thickest bottle of any wine I have ever had. And the tallest punt.

Nice easy drinking red wine. 90% Strah and 10% Grenache...nice blend. For $7 a bottle, this is amazing. I found my new house wine. Just bought a case.

Very light. Very drinkable. No alcohol on the throat which is ok. This wine is good with fish when you just want a little something. Love the price.

Not bad, but definitely needs time to breathe. High alcohol content.

All around a good wine. It’s a different blend with it being 90% Syrah. Repeat purchase.

Excellent inexpensive blend that is so good with food. Needs lots of time to breathe.

Has some of the violet coloring, can smell berries, maybe some vanilla, it’s kind of creamy I guess. This is a Spanish blend, 90% Syrah and 10% granache, it’s making my mouth water which it says here is indicative of acid. Bit of a bite at the back of the tongue, which is what the 14% abv will do. Tasting fruits is harder, maybe jam or plumb?
