Sep 5th, 2026This Kiwi Chardonnay has a very weird medicinal (think used band-aid?) aromas which bleeds into the flavors, super dry, uninteresting, frankly very disappointing. On the plus side, it’s 12% ABV, and since my wife and I honeymooned in New Zealand 40 years ago and visited (and LOVED) Nelson (it’s on the north coast, west of Marlborough (where Cloudy Bay and other NZ Sauvignon Blanc stalwarts are located), on the South Island), it’s REALLY difficult personally to criticize this wine, but my score below is indicative of what’s in the bottle!?!?!?
