Holy crap.... When I first opened this wine I thought, "Not another bad bottle". But as with most older wines from Italy, as soon as you pull that cork you get smacked in the face with the " Italian funk". After that blew off it was pure bliss!!! What a beauty.

Although not a legendary vintage this wine was thoroughly enjoyable. Smoked flavors mixed with red fruit and lovely balance and texture. Great cellar surprise.
