The kind of Burgundy that makes novice collectors decide against buying Burgundy. It’s actually quite nice and correct, veering from primary Beaune cherry fruit into a bit of tea/mushroom thing...but it’s been quite obviously filtered heavily, and any discerning drinker should reasonably expect more from an aged example from a monopole vineyard. So I’d have to say this is shit, as are virtually all the Jadot reds I’ve had the misfortune to drink. Worth about $25, tops.

Still some plump fruit with a little crunchy character of the vintage. floral notes & a hint of gaminess
