At first this was yeasty and smelled of farts mixed with mud and wet leaves, dark inky black berries and wet bark. The fart smell faded, as they always do, but the wet bark and mud stayed with inky black fruit. This earth carries to the palate as acidity hits all over the mouth. It almost taste of slightly moldy black and red fruit. I swear these are all good things. It’s a tasty wine.
