Vibrant. Lots of blue fruit. Not jammy. Not overwhelming though the alc would suggest otherwise.

Always a special treat to attend the Wednesday Wine Committee. The hosts always bring out excellent wines!

Thought possibly Malbec based on the inky color and rush of blackberries. Haven't had many Paso Robles wines and this one was super unique. Robert Parker called this "liquid viagra." 😂

One of the older LCs we have, this is 82% syrah, 14% mourvedre, and 4% grenache. Matt’s wines can be a bit hit or miss after this much time - I think they show best a bit younger - but the syrah-dominant blends definitely fare better with time. Likely already starting on the downslope, this one is still drinking really well, but I wouldn’t recommend letting it sit in your cellar for too many more years if you have a bottle or two. Enjoy it now.
