Feb 26th, 2018Not your mom's Chardonnay. Larry Stone's initial offering, Avni means "stone". Bright, minerally, citrus, touch of grapefruit, austere. Interesting back story on who's involved here - and all grapes purchased, not grown. Price on Delectable surprises me, as direct from winery is about $40 per bottle. 13 ABV. Not everyone's idea of a Chard, but it fits with mine. Not a hint of oak or lushness.
