Cellartracker was quite harsh on this one, because someone gave it an 85. On the last trip to Fredericksburg, we discovered the existence of this wine and were able to taste the 15 and 16 Rose wines side by side. This one was the clear victor. Strawberry and rose petals on the nose. The entry is strawberry crush and a Rose petal perfume out of the glass. Medium density. Great acidity. The middle of this wine goes to an herbal hearthiness with a great limestone and mineral grit, with excellent long finish. The 16 by comparison tends to have a lot more citrus and pink grapefruit with higher acidity. Still pretty damn good but this seems to be typical for 16 TX Rose across the board except for Kuhlman. Texas makes some awesome Rose if you know where to find it
