This is a 75/25 Grenache/Syrah from a region more known for sweet wines. It’s like a fuller, more minerally version of a Cotes du Rhône. Lots of crushed rocks and ripe black raspberry on the nose. Intense, full, and very savory in the mouth. It’s 14.5, but that 14.5 is showing through a bit. Some noticeable and not-exactly-soft tannin does through on the finish as well. The overall impression is lots of character in a rustic package.

Dark fruit with slightly Smokey aromas. Blackberry, leather, tar, and grilled meats on the palate. Tastes like a softer cdp. Very good!

Tastes like a mini CdP, at a fraction of the price.
