Sunday Lunch with Roast Lamb. Deep Ruby in colour - very dense. A very Margaret River Cabernet - nose with herbs and a little mint. Barb thought a bit of capsicum (bell pepper) on the nose. On the medium bodied balanced palate the tannins are quite soft yet persistent. Leeuwin Estate better known for its outstanding Art Series Chardonnay has been working hard with the red varieties and it shows.

Exquisite Cabernet. When you see talk of poise, balance and such, see hear as a definition.

needs time to coalesce but greatness is in its bones.

1hr+ decant. Dark red color. Nose has cherry, vanilla, and new oak. Wine is unique in that it possesses cherry and cranberry, as well as perfume notes and oak. Definitely new world. Not really my style, but solid. I was surprised it didn’t get better with more air and may have actually weakened a bit.

Beautiful true to type cab s. Paired perfectly with some ceviche fish dishes as with the beef.

It does not get better than this. Been waiting for months to open this. Discovered this in WA some 15 years ago.

A bit too much like boring Bordeaux for my taste. Medium bodied. Lots of cassis and raspberry. Sort of light and acidic. Puckering. Not very interesting.

Didn't love it vs the price and pro ratings.
