Slightly aged and unattractive color with brick tones. Nose is quite intense with spice, cumin, celery seed and licorice scents along with tertiary aromas of plum jam and leather. With this wine you either love it or you simply like it. Bourgogne lovers will most likely crave it for its light body, racy acidity and intense flavor. A bit too acidic for me.

Might have waited a little to long on this one - if you have a bottle crack it immediately. Most if not all of the fruit has vanished - nice barnyard on the nose but small hints of mushroom and earth on the back pallet...wish I had cracked 3 years ago....

After the 904 95 I had to try the 890 @ £122 & it's lovely but I'd buy 01/04 890 today or even the 904 or a Tondonia 95 👍as this is fading but a joy to experience 😎 Drink up 2017

👃 Soft smokey oak, damp dusty cellar, mushed cherry, coconut infused vanilla, old bacon, wet earth, cocoa, prune & sherry

👄 Med creamy smooth body of earthy stewed cherry & sherry w/ an burnt oaky bacon undertone

🎯 Long earthy oak cherry punchy sweet linger
