Celebrating the start of Thom's summer break. Swerved with polenta, fontina and vegetable marinara. Surdyk's Staff Selection (Andy Hall): A classic Argentine blend of Malbec, Bonarda, and Syrah, it is somewhat surprisingly a mid-weight effort that really showcases the beauty of the flavors these grapes offer. It is not tannic, showing smooth, soft fruitiness and only a touch of oak. Would be great at Thanksgiving and through the holidays
Surdyks Spring 2016 Sale $9.99 (compare at $15.99)

Simple and balanced. Dark purple fruit, medium body, and crisp acidity made this a great pairing for strong cheese and cured meat.

Smooth, sweet table red. Very palatable, maybe not that interesting.

This is the best $10 pairing with organic dark chocolate-covered almonds ever! The raspberry and cherry notes compliment the chocolate perfectly, and the mocha and spice punch it up a level. Kudos to whomever blended this fabulous Tinto.
