It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Dark ruby in color with a cloudy reddish rim.

Fruity on the nose with blueberries, black currants, black plums, sweet cherries, cedar, licorice, light earth, herbs, light vanilla, coffee, chocolates, black pepper and spices.

Full-bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black plums, black currants, blackberries, cherries, licorice, spices, cedar, vanilla, coffee, dark chocolates, light earth, herbs, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.

Spicy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This young 4-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags Leap District in Napa Valley is starting to drink beautifully. Fruit forward and rich. Powerful, yet elegant.

Well balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Spicy and entertaining, yet more restrained than their 2021 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon.

Good right out of the bottle, and much better after 2 hours in the decanter. I really enjoyed the nose here.

I had this vintage 2 years ago, and it is already drinking better. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will also pair nicely with grilled Lamb chops.

A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec. A small production of only 75 cases.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$85.
