Nose is faint petrol, wet slate, fresh cut yellow apple. Palate is better than a year ago, citrus but without the acidity, faint cassis-type flavor, very fun. Last bottle. 🤨

On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening to enjoy Andris Nelsons conducting the BSO in their first complete performance of Wagner's "Das Rheingold" at this venue, very exciting! We enjoyed "Die Walküre" last summer, so even though they're playing out of sequence, we're blessed to hear it none the less.
Tonight we have a trendy German SB, a very light citrus aroma, racy palate that does not back down, maybe some red current in there? Blind I would be hard pressed to guess as SB. Nice wine to begin the evening.
