A very nice Zinfandel from old vines - good mix of dries fruits (cherry, fig, plums) with noticeable fine grained/velvety tannins. It would be quite nice at Christmas meals or with a chocolately dessert.

Herbal nose (sage and white pepper), with anise/liquorice notes. Big heat, plump aciditity on the mouth. Very dry, and shows more liquorice and tobacco notes. Hints of cassis and prunes. Inky/oily texture that coats the mouth. Pairs nicely with a dish that combats the texture. EX: sage and mushroom orzo in tomorrow sauce with peccorino cheese.

Jammy with dark cherry on the palate and high alcohol well balanced. Great for the price.
