I think that there is some bottle variation here. Last week I had the luck to try this wine, and two weeks in a row I had the chance to try this wine again. This bottle was not as 'elegant' as the last bottle. There was less fruit, less acidity, less oak......compared to a Kistler Chard Dutton of the same year, this one lost the battle IMO, although I think it was a 50/50 split for those who tried it. I think that I was expecting this one to be as roundedd as the bottle that we tried last week, and this one simply didn't hoild up the same way. Good notes, definitely more of a pineapple but really without that citrus bite. Overripe honeydew and mango are more the note here. Not as much minerality, not as 'dried' on the finish. Nice wine....wouldn't kick it out of bed for sure. But if you have some of these, it's time to start poppin' some corks!

Better than the Vine Hill for sure. More glycerin, what are the news in pallet of Peach and ripe mango. This one definitely did have some butter, not overdone IMO. Very balanced Chardonnay that is kicking some tail right now.

Could taste the age, but still such a one of a kind Chardonnay!

Just lovely, balanced, rich but not-too voluptuous Chard. This 2008 just seems to get better - saving my last two for next year, and maybe thereafter.
